Workforce Needs Assessment

The Survey

A confidential survey for peers working in Baltimore. What you say here decides what MAPS builds first.

Why we are asking

Before we build, we listen.

MAPS has not been built yet. This survey is how peers decide what it does first. Most groups guess what peers need. We would rather ask.

Peers helped write the questions. We publish only totals and themes, never anything that identifies you. And we will judge our first year against what you tell us now.

Before you start, here is what happens to your answers

  • You can skip any question, and stop at any point.
  • Your answers are not used to identify you. Please leave out names of clients, colleagues, supervisors or employers.
  • Answers are deleted about six months after they arrive.
  • Only counts and themes are published — never anything that identifies a person.
  • Giving contact details at the end is optional. If you do, they are stored with your answers and deleted on the same schedule.
  • No answer goes to any employer, and nothing here starts an investigation.

MAPS is not a crisis service. If you need help right now, call or text 988.

What we ask about

  • Your role, and what you are asked to do
  • Pay, benefits, and job security
  • Supervision, safety, and workload
  • Training you need, and training you cannot get

What your answers change

  • Which training we put on first
  • Where the gaps in the four domains are
  • How we judge our first year

What it leads to

  • Training toward the hours your certificate needs
  • Mental Health First Aid and WRAP places, paid for and taught by certified trainers
  • Published data on what the workforce is paid and needs

Confidential · only totals and themes are published · peers helped write it

It is confidential. It is the most direct way to shape what MAPS becomes.
